1994 Acura Integra, Brake Light Stays On

My 1994 Acura Integra LS brake light on the dash stays on without the brake being pushed.

The first thing to do is make sure that your parking brake is not on. If it is it will cause this light to stay on. Sometimes it will be on just a little bit and that will cause the light to not go off.

The second thing to do is check your brake fluid reservoir under your hood. See if the brake fluid is low. If it is it will set the light and it also means that you have a leak in your braking system.

If these are not the problem then it could be the switch that is on your parking brake that tells the light to come on. It could be faulty causing the light on your dash to stay on.
