Your problem is a vacuum line being kinked or broken in the engine compartment. look on the drivers side, by the master cylinder and you'll see 4 vacuum lines coming together at a tree. the smallest of the vacuum lines on there tends to break near the connector. just get some heatshrink tubing and repair where it is broken. i've seen this problem many many times on the mustang forums
