1995 Ford Mustang, Hot Air Only Comes Out Defrost Vents.

I'm trying to get air to blow out vents. It will only blow hot air out the defrost holes. It does not matter if I put it on vent or AC or heat it's the same temp. and it comes from the defrost holes only.

Someone said a check valve was messed up. The ford dealer ship does not even list one.

I have never heard of a check valve being part of the HVAC system. It sounds to me like you probably have a problem with your "control head". This is the part that has the controls for the heat and A/C.

Do diagnose it for sure will take some time, but you might want to have someone look at it because these parts are usually fairly expensive unless you buy used.

There are other things that it could be such as linkage or wiring under your dash, but the controls seem like the most likely things to cause this type of problem.
