1996 Ford F-150, Clicks Once But Won't Start

My 1996 Ford F-150 has been running without problems, then yesterday my wife came to get me from work after driving around for the day turning it on and off without issue until we tried to fire it up for the trip home. There was a single click and nothing else. The battery is charged as we have power to roll the windows up and down, the radio comes on,but it just wont start. Any ideas?

Steve Says,

Thanks for asking me your starting question. There are several things that might be causing your problem. The most likely is that your starter is faulty. You could also have a battery problem. Just because you can roll the windows down does not mean that the batter is not bad. It probably is not, but it could be.

You could also have loose battery cables or an ignition switch or wiring problem. Check the battery cables to be sure they are clean and tight. If they are not it can easily cause this type of problem.

I hope this has helped.
