2000 Ford Expedition, Clicking Sound Under the Steering Wheel
by: Chris (from Redondo)

Thanks Steve...good comments. I did some additonal research and I found it could possibly be a bad relay or switch. Any thoughts on this?

Steve Says,

Yes, that is a definite possibility. I hadn't given it much thought when I read your question because it is much more common for the problem to be in another part of your electrical system. BUT if a relay were bad and staying on when it should not it could be the cause of your problem.

Relays are also generally fairly cheap and it would probably be worth it just to replace it to see if that solves the problem.

Good luck!
