It's probably to late to help you but it's your ignition switch. I had a 2005 Envoy and that had twice and each time it was the ignition switch

Update by: Jake
Here is an update. I'm getting to my wits end. I been messing with this all weekend. Here is where I am at now. I checked all the fuses in the fuse block under the hood, and also under the passenger seat. The battery reads 13.59 on my voltmeter. On the maxi fuses ign A, and ign B, I am also reading above 12 volts. I got into the steering column to measure the voltage at the harness going into the ignition switch. The red wire is at 13 volts. In the on position the orange, white, red and white wires were also above 12 volts. When I turned the key to the ignition position the yellow wire was getting 12 volts. It was getting dark out and I was haveing a hard time getting a reading on the pink wire. It was saying 3 volts. I put it back together to go home for the evening,(the rig is still along the road where it died 10 miles from home)I put the key back into the ignition and all the gauges turned on correctly. Hit ignition the car started and died a few seconds latter. It's doing the same as before, however now the fuel gauge reads empty, but the tank is actually still full. The car is locked in the park position, so I have not been able to get the vehicle towed home. The local tow truck is broke down and won't have parts for his rig for another few days. Are there any ideas? Am I looking in the wrong places.
