2004 Dodge Stratus, Fans Won't Come On

by Megan
(Austin, TX USA)

I have a 2004 Dodge stratus with a 2.7 L engine, its 6 cylinder, and the fans aren't kicking on. When I unplug the sensor that is connected to the thermostat housing they kick on. Does this mean the sensor is bad? We changed the t-stat housing. What sensor is it that's connected to the t-stat housing?

Steve Says,

Thanks for using my website. The most likely cause of your problem is the coolant fan relay. This is what fixes this type of problem the majority of the time. It could also be the coolant temperature sensor that is on the thermostat housing but that is not as likely.

I hope this has helped.
