2005 Toyota 4Runner, Turns Over but Won't Start.

2005 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4WD with 4.0L V6 Auto. Never had any problems until this morning. Engine turns over with strong battery but will not start. Acts like its got no fuel but gauge says full. Maybe a electric issue. Where should I look first for a solution?
Thanks for any help,
John
Steve Says,
Hi, John. Thanks for asking me your question. The first thing to check is to see if your fuel pump is working. If you leave your door open or window rolled down while you turn your key from the off position to the on position you should hear the fuel pump run. A better way to check its operation is to get a fuel pressure gauge and hook it up to see if your fuel pressure is in range. If it is not then the most likely cause of your problem is a bad fuel pump but it could be a problem with the filter or the fuel pressure regulator as well.
If it is then you need to check for spark. Any good auto parts store will have a spark tester that you can use to see if your spark plugs are sparking. If they are not then you are looking at possible problems with ignition control module, coils, spark plugs wires, etc.
I hope this has helped. If you want to find out more information about how to test these components as well as diagnostic advice from factory trained technicians, step by step repair procedures, diagrams, pictures, etc. just type your question into the box below:
