same issue
by: Anonymous

This same exact thing happened to me. Took it to a mechanic, dropped the fuel tank, found out it was the connectors, replaced the fuel pump module. It's been running good and i'm back to getting my same 30.5 mpg. But today when i went to start the car... It's been less than a week that i got it fixed, i'm really hoping i'm not gonna be having the same issues.

I fixed it....

So I started checking the fuel lines and found the leak was running down the gas tank. So I took my car in to a mechanic friend and he dropped my gas tank. When he dropped the tank he found that the two fuel line connections on the fuel pump were almost completely broken off. So I had him replace the fuel pump and i haven't had any problems with the car since. If anyone else has a similar problem just keep following the fuel lines until you find the leak. Once you find the leak you will be able to figure out the problem pretty fast.
